Victorian Cylindrical Planter Hand Painted Convolvus Ball Feet Earthenware 1890
Here we have a very attractive antique Victorian planter or jardiniere dating from around 1890 and featuring a hand painted design of pretty pink convulvus flowers and green and brown leaves. The planter is cylindrical in shape and stands 7 1/2 inches high and the same in diameter. It has three gilded ball feet - gilding worn.
The planter is made of earthenware and there is a faint impressed mark on the base that I have been unable to identify. It weighs approx 1800g unpacked so too heavy to post outside of the UK.
It is an attractive piece but has a little damage - some body crazing and cracks from the rim with a couple of associated small cracks. A nice item for display and perfect for an aspidistra or fern, for example.
