Victorian Silver Coffee Pot HM Sterling London 1899 WGJL Repousse Antique 682g

A beautiful quality antique Victorian Sterling silver coffee pot of a flattened baluster or oval waisted form with repousse floral scroll decoration and a large central vacant cartouche. The coffee pot has a carved fruitwood handle and knop. It has a swan necked spout also with floral repousse decoration.

This coffee pot is hallmarked on the body below the rim and on the lid with the Leopard's head crowned for London, the lion passant for Sterling standard silver,  a lower case "d" for 1899-1900, makers marks WG over GL for William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman.

William Gibson and John Langman also traded as the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co of 112 Regent street, London, this company eventually amalgamated with Garrard and Co in 1952.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, a couple of very minor marks commensurate with age and use, a tiny mark or nick to the tip of the spout, only mentioned for complete accuracy. Please see the images.

It stands 9 1/2 inches high 9 inches long and 4 1/4 inches wide. It weighs 682g unpacked. It has a capacity of 2 pints.
