Antique Wedgwood Pearl Plate Pierced Rim with Turquoise & Roses Border dated 1865 - pierced rim "Greek Key" style of T and inverted T 22.3 cm diam
A Wedgwood pearl body plate with a pierced rim in a "Greek Key" style of T and inverted T, decorated with enamel and gilded detail and pink cross rose detail. It has a three letter date code to the back relating to 1865 and is impressed mark PEARL which was used until 1868.
From the factory originally owned by Josiah Wedgwood, Wedgwood of Etruria, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire England.
This is a very decorative and collectable piece of antique pearlware pottery dating from circa 1865 - in the mid Victorian period.
The plate is in good antique condition with a little wear to the gilding and some discolouration underneath. Please see the images.
